Who’s using what? What do you like or dislike about them?

Minnesota Power has been using Salisbury units. Our older ones were the 12 cal rated units with the green tint to them. More recently we have been purchasing the units with the gray tint (Prismshield or something like that) which everyone likes much better and moving over toward the hooded version. They are higher calorie rated and don’t require the balaclava be put on at the same time because of the integrated hood.

We (Connexus) use the shields with the hood attached. They can fog up a bit, in the cold, or in the heat, but usually you’re not wearing them for long periods of time. They are much better than putting on a balaclava on a 90 degree day!
